The third planet of our solar system and the planet where life exists, the Earth, and the place we all live in, is slowly but surely on the verge of getting destroyed. The main cause for the destruction of our planet Earth is global warming. In simple terms, global warming is the slow but steady increase in the temperature of the Earth and its atmosphere. The result of this increase in temperature of the Earth and the atmospheric temperature as a result of global warming has caused many adverse effects to the planet like melting of ice in the Polar Regions, increase in the epidemic disease occurrences, varying climatic patterns etc.

Our planet Earth is experiencing more varying climatic patterns since 1900, than the regular seasonal changes that had occurred earlier. The main factor for this conversion can be largely attributed to the activities of the man and the inception of the industrial revolution. Every human being living in this planet, knowingly or unknowingly is destroying his or her own habitat. The effluent gases that are let out of the various factories and industries all over the world has lead to an increase in the so called greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen oxide etc, in the atmosphere have all contributed to the greenhouse blanket on the Earth’s surface, preventing the reflection of the rays from the sun and hence causing an increase in the temperature of the Earth which inturn leads to varying climatic conditions.
