Nothing Beats the Taste of Chocolate Wedding Favors

Some say that after jewels, chocolate is most appreciated gift. One thing is for sure, many people love chocolate, and it is definitely a classy and wedding material. Whoever chooses chocolate wedding favors makes a good statement that is elegant and also caring for their guests. There are so many different chocolate options and, trust me, each one of them works. You can be original with the look and the shape, the flavor and packaging, but bottom line, your guests will go for the taste, and that is when you truly gain their recognition.

Chocolate wedding favors have another big advantage, which is the one that you don’t need to necessarily have the chocolate themed with the rest of the decoration, chocolate is indeed a great stand alone item, which always gets its attention among people. Chocolate, in some mystique sort of way, has its own magnetism and that shows very well, especially in a special occasion such as a wedding. Now, often you might have the problem to run out your chocolate wedding favors, so be careful to load up enough, because people will seek for them until the end. Of course, if you are really generous, think that most of your guests will want to keep some as a memory… or take it at home with them.

Poker Hits the Stage

Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps, knows a thing or two about night life and entertainment. Alma mother of some of the world-most famous poker and casino houses, Las Vegas is also quite well-known for its spectacular shows and concerts. From David Copperfield to Cirque du Soleil, Mamma Mia and Madonna, there is something for every age and taste.

But Las Vegas wouldn’t be Las Vegas if were not to keep surprising its public. And voila’: opening this fall, Las Vegas will put on stage “The Real Deal!” the first ever interactive poker-themed stage show. A good marriage between poker and show business, The Real Deal seems to have all the right ingredients for becoming the hit of the year: humor, technology, fast-paced action, big prizes and of course lots of poker.

Every night at the Venetian six members of the audience will be selected to compete on stage in a live Texas Holdem tournament against some of the biggest names in poker: Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, and Jennifer Harman, just to mention a few.

In addition, using wireless touch-screen devices mounted on their seats, the rest of the audience will compete for points to qualify for a “ninth hand”, where the winners will play against the pros on stage. Four times during the show, the audience will be given the opportunity to pick five face-down cards and the ten people with the highest hand will advance to a final round. The 40 qualifiers will then play a last hand and the chance to win a $1 million grand prize, if hitting a royal flash.

Well, it’s true that this is a 1-in-649,740 chance but for the price of the ticket I don’t know you, but me I am heading to Vegas….

Feeding Sugar Gliders

Sugar gliders are omnivorous animals and, therefore, they can eat anything that is put in front of them. However there are really only three basic types of nutrition they need, that is, protein, fresh fruits, vegetables and a little vitamin supplement to fill in the gaps.

When in the wild, a sugar glider’s normal diet is chiefly made up of about 75% fruits, berries and other plants. The other 25% is made up of live food such as insects, baby birds, bird eggs, and many others. When planning on feeding sugar gliders at home, make sure the diet does not contain a high percentage of live food or meat as the gliders will develop a musky odor that may be a little strong for some people. This odor can be avoided by giving them “glide-r-chow”. It is specially designed for sugar gliders and gives them all the protein they’ll ever need. Sugar gliders really love it for its citrus flavor. Give a wide range of treats like peanuts, cheerios or boiled eggs from time to time.

When feeding sugar gliders use the weighted food bowl and fill it to about half way. This is to avoid wasting the food.

It is highly recommended that you try to always give a sugar glider a quarter of an apple every night and about 3 to 5 other bits of fruits and vegetables just to add a variety in their diet. In the morning, clear up any fruit left as the sugar glider will tend to eat it before any other meal, then let it take the glide-r-chow, which will provide most proteins.

You may decide to feed the sugar glider protein during the day and fruits and vegetables in the night.
